Yup...looks like the mix is gone for us. Less snow too.

Won’t hurt my feeling if it doesn’t materialize.

Dodged a bullet here...only 4 or 5 inches and no rain.

Who's been getting all this snow? I think we've maybe got a dusting on the hillside in Chugiak, but I didn't really notice. smile

I gotta get someone to check on my camper there. To early to have to worry about getting snow off the roof.

Note to self: avoid Alaska this time of year! I'm quite happy to live where we haven't seen the first snowflake yet this year. Sunny with highs in the upper 40's today through next week.

That lake effect is no joke (assuming that’s where you are). Looks to be another 10-18” headed your way tonight.

Same here in eaglewood Kurt time to get on roof tomorrow and break the ice dams off with the rubber mallet and start shoveling it off. Wife and daughter down in Boise now saying we told yah dad sell the house and get down here. Spent all week each night after work and again each morn cleaning off the driveway and cars and shed and wood fences pretty sad having to use snowshoes in back yard lol its like 5 feet deep. Wife said they got 2 inches last week in boise and neighbor was using a lawn burner to melt it off his driveway ROFL . Aaron

Put on the Kahtoolas and shoveled drifts off the roof this afternoon. Tractor maintenance this morning.

Some roofs tried to become floors in Slowdotna today. Caved in at the SBS and one of the copper center (old Red Diamond) units.

Where?

Western and Northern NY. Lake effect storm.
Jefferson (northern NY) and Erie (western NY) Counties had the heaviest snows.
I'm in Jefferson County. Probably only about 4 ft at my house, little village 30 miles away had 6 ft. Strange texture snow, very dense, didn't seem real wet but packed down immediately.

Got snowed in at hunting camp (Lewis County). There was a little less snow there, but it was very dense and you couldn't drive thru it once it built up - you'd just push it ahead until it was a wall in front of your truck. Went into camp Thur before the storm, thought worst of it would stay south of us. Started to get ugly Friday, there were 5 of us at camp, Four 4WD pickups ( 3 with chains). Decided we needed to leave Sat morning - too late - couldn't get thru the snow. Three miles of private unplowed logging road to town road, 2 more miles of unplowed town road (low priority). Had to call for help. Sunday late morning a forest ranger with tracked SUV came in to check on us, we sent one of our guys out with him that is in poor health.

Some guys in another camp down the road got ahold of a friend with a tracked skid steer with snowblower - he chewed a path up the road Sun, but it still wasn't drivable with the pickups. We ended up driving out on ATVs and leaving the trucks. The ATVs could ride on the packed snow where the skid steer had gone thru, but trucks dug thru and got stuck. Tuesday we hired a small dozer to open the road and went back in on ATVs to get our trucks. Got the 3 with trucks with chains out but had to leave the last truck and ATVs. By Sat it had settled down enough to go back in to close up the camp for the year and get the last truck and ATVs out.

Got up on roof today and shoveled and cleared ridge vents, with ridge vents flow stopped eaves were venting causing ice damming left snow on the roof its dry so far and it helps with insulation, plus I hate moving it 3 times.

Nope, probably in the soft quivering underbelly of Anchortown - Muldoon.

On closer inspection, it looks more like breakup than recent.
