The POS taxidermist stole his $500. deposit & he never got the hide back either. After filing a complaint with the district magistrate, he found out that he was the 10th. person to file charges, & they all got ripped off by the same guy.

It was Chris Frye Taxidermy from Dushore Pa. The guy only had one review: "Don't even think about it! This fraud took $300 deposit from me 5 years ago for a coyote mount. I have heard every excuse from family illness to extreme fatigue and no response whatsoever. I'm a pretty easy going guy. if he had troubles, i could be patient. But an honest reputable man would have owned up, made an effort to refund my money or get the job on to someone else. Even got the chamber of commerce involved. That prompted a half-hearted response from him , but then he fell off the map again. If he even still has a business it exists to rip off flatlanders. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY".

I had a Bear of mine. Paid the $500 deposit, Taxidermist sent it to the Tannery. Tannery ruined the hide by fleshing it to thin. You are just out the $500. Tannery would send me another hide but wouldnt be mine.

You need to contact the Pennsylvania State Attorney General's Office about filing a class action lawsuit. I had a similar incident several years ago involving a guy in PA who was making rifled shotgun barrels. They managed to get my shotgun back for me but not the money. My shotgun was still in the carton that I had shipped it in, the guy lied about having completed the rebarrel and how wonderful it had turned out. Never even took it out of the box, lying POS !
