Anyone on here ever own one of these. Thinking about getting one.

If you mean 1911s, I have three. All of them are a lot of fun to shoot. Range Officer, Garrison, and a Commander-sized Ronin. I had to change out the front sight on the Ronin, it was shooting too high for my tastes, but now, it's dead-on.
Springfield puts a 9lb. recoil spring in the 5" guns, if you buy one, I strongly suggest switching out that 9lb spring with a 12 or 14lb. spring. Other than that, they run pretty well. None of mine seem to like Winchester ammo, though, and the extractors will slip off a Winchester case now and then. You can avoid that by avoiding Winchester ammo.

This was /is called a 911 in 9mm, it is a compact pistol but, after looking more on line I see that it has been discontinued. Don't know why.

I have a Range Officer. It's fitted well & functions 100% so far.

I'm normally a stainless guy but bought blue in this to save a 100. Wishing I'd got the stainless as I think the gun needs some edges & corners dehorned, & w/stainless a refinish would quick & easy. Otherwise, it's a good gun.

The 9# recoil spring might beat up the gun a bit or other? But my arthritis appreciates the easy slide rack. Arther being the reason I have a 1911 in 9mm in the first place.

gunzo, Colt always used 14s in the 9mms and Super .38s, I figure they know more about it than I do, and went with what they use.

I believe the Springfield 911 was identical to the Sig P938.

I have a Springfield loaded target and like others have said they are an awesome range toy,I run the factory 9# spring with no issues , have shot over 4k rds thru it with minimal hickups almost exclusively with 1x fired win cases and haven’t had the issues others experienced!
