Not nearly as profound as some questions asked lately I know.

I like it. Mostly in the springtime when we get those first few warmer days. The fresh air feels good but it’s still just a little chilly. Obvious solution is to put the window down and cranked the heat up.

Your question reminded me of my dad, he only had the window up when it was raining hard.
AC or heat wide open. I think he did it to keep mom out of the vehicle as much as he could.

I used to do it all the time, until they quit putting wing windows on them. It's hard on ears, though. Now days, I have to wear hearing aids because of too much stuff like that.

I don't, but this the time when the old vent windows (wing) are the most missed. They could be open without creating too much wind noise.
RC, we had the same thought at the same time.

Back when cars and trucks had little adjustable 'wing' vent windows, yes, ...vehicles nowadays, no.

Yep. I work in a 35 degree workplace. After 8 hours I can't wait to got out to my truck and blast the seat heater and hot air. I've always hated when my face gets hot, so yeah...window down.

My dad talked about splitting a stovepipe, putting it over the manifold on the old gravel trucks. In summer they put a sheet of asbeskes over it.

Back when cars and trucks had little adjustable 'wing' vent windows, yes, ...vehicles nowadays, no. This is where a sliding glass back window in the pickup helps, roll down your drivers window and open the sliding glass window no popping sound!
Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.
