I don't run the heat much past the 2 on the fan dial much after the car warms up for a drive. I don't like to drive with jackets on, or shoes. The other morning, 12F on the way to the Big Town, once the car was warmed up off came the driving slippers, jacket/wool shirt and vest already off. Just a t shirt over a thermal shirt. Fan on 1 setting, fresh air vent on, window cracked a few inches at times if it got too hot. Going through the ice fog spots the outside mirrors were frosting up, had a good coating of ice on the front side of the housing.

Used to be quite common for me to drive with the window open and the heater on in winter.....................when I still smoked. Drove some non-smoking girlfriends and associates nuts. I told them to put on a bigger jacket if they didn't like it.

In it is death and all you seek

When I was a soldier in Germany ('72-'73) we were short handed. Since I had a Army License, I drove quite a few "extra" vehicles we took on Reforger, no matter what my real job was ( which vacillated between about four!) anyhow, thats how I always drove, heat blasting, window down, BUT I was a Skoal dipper/tobacco chewer back then (plus smoked cigs and other herbs,,,) so I could spit out the window, ha. The fact we only got a couple hours sleep a night made all that fresh/cold air as necessary as coffee, when you could get either one, you took it! ha

Depends (no pun) on what I've been eating. Or what the dogs have been eating.
