I marinate mine in 1/3C. teriyaki, soy, worcestershire and a TBSP. of liquid smoke. Refrigerate for 24-48hrs. and smoke with alderwood, I use this recipe for venison and london broil.

Why use liquid smoke if you are going to smoke with alder wood?

I like to use Hi Mountain Jerky seasonings. 50/50 blend of Original and Inferno.

I like the Hi Mountain seasonings as well... Always used Hi-Mountain, then 2 years ago was told to try con yeager. Blind taste test the yeager won. Toss up for me like both.

My 10 yr old Grandson shot his first deer this year and wants to make some jerky. I may have to get some Con Yeager to try as well...

I used to always use my dad's recipe which was heavy on the soy, but I wanted to try something different. Tried Maple Japaleno, and Cracked Pepper+Garlic kits from PS seasoning and both were excellent. I've used their seasonings before for making sausage and they have been excellent as well.
