Was -40 F this morning at 8am, warmed up quite a bit by noon, Only -37 F right now ![[Linked Image from imagizer.imageshack.com]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/1205/jcX9wu.jpg) It is almost always 10 degrees colder out in Fox than it is in town. My pickup’s thermometer bottoms out at -22 so I am unsure how cold it was but man, did the pickup not want to start this morning, despite being plugged it. I wouldn’t doubt it was close to -50F. Power steering pumps straight up don’t want to work in those temps.

You guys would be sweating your balls off here, it's a balmy 46 f. Relatives were enjoying Disneyland yesterday after one of them graduated with a Masters Degree Sat. Folks in SoCal were freezing and it was 49F. Beanie hats and parkas on some folks in the background of their pics. I didn't see anyone in shorts even. I'd have been down to sandals, shorts, and at most a flannel shirt if I wasn't in the sun.

One of my unofficial jobs here at the dump is starting all the heavy equipment up before the landfill technician 4’s show up (heavy equipment operators) last few morning it’s been very unpleasant. It was 21 here this morning, and that's just about to damn cold to hunt. It's going to be to cold for me to bear hunt in SW VA. I'm supposed to be having fun not freezing.

My fancy weather station says it's currently 12 below in the back yard. The dogs aren't happy about it. A cozy 66 in my chair. Had to bust ass today to get everything done that needed to get done before the real cold hits.
