i personally wouldn't do the limbsaver recoil pad? at least on my findings it added 1/2" to the lop which i can't afford. besides the t3x recoil pad is light years ahead of the t3 pad.

SportsMatch rings for the win - simple, strong and attractive. Mine hold a 30mm tubed SWFA on a super lite .223. The $10 trigger spring made a so so trigger into a perfect one and it’s super simple to swap out….
The rest of the “ improvements “ are up to you, but I’d run it for a year or so before going crazy….
I’d also go 6.5CM or 7-08….. but that’s just me.

The only change I made to my T3x light in 6.5 CreedMoor was adjusting the trigger down to 2.5 lbs. and using modified Tally LW’s for mounting the scope.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

We all encourage you to get the new gun and the T3X is a good choice. I've had a total of seven of them. The simple truth is, all the changes/upgrades you want to make are lipstick. They will not improve the function of the gun.

Probably the one thing that could be a useful upgrade if you're using long high B.C. bullets would be, swapping the magazine to a M+ mag and changing the bolt stop. Other than that, I'm back to the lipstick comment.
I'm a fan of rings attaching direct to the receiver. There are several brands that have a good reputation. Warne and Sportsmatch are often mentioned. I use the factory T3 rings and have been happy with them.
I recently tried the Mountain Tactical 0 moa rail and didn't like it. Even with low rings, the scope was mounted higher than receiver rings.

About what I figured… it’s gonna be good to go out of the box and any changes or “upgrades” (using that loosely) will be more aesthetics and personal preferences. Limbsaver pad made a big difference on my T3 superlite 7 mag, but as whitearrow said, the T3x factory pads are definitely better. The one on my T3x 6.5 PRC is way more recoil friendly than the one I took off the superlite. Great choice for a new rifle sir…enjoy.😎
