I have a Remington vls 7/08 very good condition. Looked online but not finding much in this caliber. What would the value be if I decided to sell it.
Thanks for any help.

$750? 708 is dying for non-reloaders though the laminate is nice.

That’s a bold statement.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

7-08 is dying?
Yep, it really sucks.
Just ask all the elk and deer I have used it on over the last 20 years. They probably wish it would go away lol

I really like the 708. But for folks who aren't reloading you can't tell me its on-shelf availability hasn't shrunk dramatically and the number of new rifles produced as well in the last few years.

Our local stores are overflowing with 6.5cm. They don't even have spots for 708.

Yeah I was kind of wondering the same thing about that statement? Wondering if he’s referring to the lack of factory ammo available right now?

Yes. It's a great round. Not besmurching it at all. But for a casual shooter/hunter, it doesn't make a ton of sense to buy one right now.

. It’s kind of what I thought you were referring to. So it makes the original posters rifle a more “specialty item“! Should help increase the value😉

I 100% agree!
7-08 ammo has been tough to find. Good stuff anyway.
Nosler and Federal used to both build a 140 partition load that was great. I do hand load and have all the supplies for the next 80 years or so lol. I have managed to bump into Nosler loaded with 140 accubond a couple times over the last 6 months however. I have seen plenty of Nosler 120 BT for lighter duty work. That’s a pretty good bullet too for deer.
Plenty of Norma 150 gr, Hornady 139 sst, etc. I wouldn’t be too excited about those either.
Lots of things have been tough to find. I don’t think it means they are losing popularity. I just think the manufacturers have prioritized certain really popular cartridges coming through a tough time.
Example:
What does a creedmoor do that a 7-08 doesn’t?
Besides, wound and lose more elk.
Exactly.

Probably need to provide more information. e.g., if you have 1500 rounds down the tube, then the value might be closer to $575 (+/- due to cartridge, dings, etc.):

Don’t know the round count, but from the condition it’s in I would be surprised if over a hundred. I can find vls 223 and others but having a hard time locating some in 7mm08.

It’s only worth what the market will pay. So pick a number and post it. If it doesn’t sell, then lower it until it does. Simple as that.
