Remington 700 bdl Varmint master
***rare*** 25.06
This is the fantastic days of Remington production! In my research I found that this rifle was produced in the early seventies and this caliber was produced in far fewer numbers than those you'll find. Produced Jan of 1972 and from what I saw they made them for one run for each yr, totaling 2 years.
This is why I say it is *rare*
Remington Varmint Master in the wonderful 25-06. This is a very mild recoiling caliber! Features Remington varmint profile barrel.
25.06 is a versitile caliber for sure!
This would make a fantastic antelope rifle or open country mule deer! Certainly it isn't limited to animals of this size.
The rifle is in fantastic condition with just minor handling marks as seen in the pictures added below. I acquired the rifle from a neighbor who bought it years ago when he moved here, planning to use it on coyotes, which he never did, he never even went. He then decided to sell it but the state opened up wolf hunting so he again kept it to use on wolves....like the first he never even went... Shot very little and only to sight the rifle in and in odd years to confirm sight in before gearing up for hunts never realized.
The bluing is in fantastic condition, having one pin head ding (pictured). Features a target crown. I am pretty sure it's a 24" barrel but please verify the model specs prior to bidding.
The wood on this stock is in really good shape! Again, with a few very minor dings (pictured), the kind that you can see in the right light, with some reflections along the wood. The worst thing I can see is in the clear coat just behind the rear sling swivel (pictures). Likely rubbing on something when shooting from a bench. I believe this could be easily fixed using true oil and the technique they show for doing such work. Two swivel studs. Classic Remington checkering.
