Thanks Norm, I will check all serial numbers against my data. It would be really an asset to Savage collectors if the Cody museum completed the data base and shared the actual production numbers of these calibers. Here is hoping!
My records show 139 25-35, 92 32-40 and 109 38-55 out of 340 rifles/carbines. The fact that the 1899H was the only one of the these three calibers advertised as available certainly increased the number of 25-35s. (37 25-35 1899H in my data)
I have been collecting this data for over 15 years. Much has come due to internet auctions and Savage forum.

all these have come from B.C. may AB that and about 30 30-30s. i will call a few other guys and see if they have any more.
