Thanks for posting. I’m 75 miles south of there.
I did hear about a gun auction in Mooresville on January 15th. Mooresville is not far from that area so I wonder if it’s the same one.
The one in Mooresville is an estate sale with right at a thousand guns and over a hundred thousand rounds of ammo. I think it was supposed to be split into three sales.
A boy at work was showing me some pictures and there was a lot of blue & walnut.

That is the stuff that gets me excited.

Anyone have more info on these, or a link? There was a dealer here who passed, he had an unbelievable collection wondering if it is his.

The one Jan. 15 is Midway auction. About 20 min. from me. Yes over 900 guns and tons I mean tons of ammo. Should be fun. Selling all in one day will be a late night.

A man can probably get some deals if you can stick it out until late in the evening.
The biggest gun auction I’ve ever went to was a gentleman from Paoli, around 2000.
They had 600 guns at that auction and a ton of accessories. They started at eight in the morning and had the guns sold by eight that night. It was 11.30 before they finished selling everything else.
They had an 8’ table full of Lyman scopes NIB two and three deep. A lot of those went cheap.
They started throwing reloading dies and holsters in boxes and selling them for nothing.
I bought a huge box of books for twenty bucks. Ken Waters Pet Loads, Volume 1 was among them along with a bunch of reloading manuals.
It drew people from all over the midwest. Pretty interesting.
The auction on January 15th will also.
I saw Nambu’s, Luger’s, Model 12’s and about anything else you can think of. I would love to go and just look around.

Is there a website one can go to see items and bid?

I believe there is for the January 1st auction but I don’t know about the one on the 15th.
Lazy said it was a Midway auction but you probably read that.

Midway auction online also no pictures until Dec. 27. But an auction Jan. 1 gun also in it bidding open on it.

Midway pictures up Jan. 11. I think they have more than could get online.
