One 30-45 minutes away. Never been in it but some buds frequent it. The yuppies and going to the city keep me away.

Thanks Teal. I was just heading out for last minute “stuff” of which impulse controls my wallet, loosely. Hadn’t thought of Scheels but now they are my destination. I hope you get the commission.
Osky I don't work for them but shop semi regularly there. Have a nice store about 30 mins from the GF with a Wood Crafters across the street. Makes the drive worth it I’m sorry I didn’t mean to infer you worked for them, my poor attempt at humor. Merry Christmas Teal, I enjoy your posting. Osky

I was at the Loveland, CO. Scheel's on Black Friday. Long story short-they had a little snafu mounting a scope on a rifle we bought which caused us to have to wait a little longer than expected. Not a big deal in my mind, but the gun counter supervisor came out and gave us a $75 gift card just because of the wait. I'm a permanent customer after that!

Looking back at 50s and 60s era newspapers, all of the businesses ran large ads celebrating the religion that this country was founded upon.

I was not expecting this. Certainly not from a large store like Scheels. They'll likely get more of my shopping... Scheels is an employee owned business. They do these sort of things fairly often. It’s a fantastic store.

Scheels is a great store, A few yrs ago I was trying to buy a forester co ax press. They were hard to find in stock. Found one online at scheels priced below most other stores . Made a online order very happy with the press and shopping experience.

I ordered my son some gloves for ice fishing Tuesday morning this week. Picked the free shipping hoping they arrive by Christmas Eve, knowing it was a long shot.
They showed up Tuesday night, the day I ordered them!

There’s one in salt lake
Ain’t never been there…..3 plus hrs away
Also a Cabelas about 40 minutes closer
Been there twice. The first and last time
Then a sportsman wharehouse on the way
That had 4 bottles of powder on the shelf my last time there
I shop online for my stuff…easier and usually cheaper Be sure and check it out if you are in the area. Mebby ride the Ferris wheel too 😜 . Sportsmans had/has CCI #41 primers for something like $7.80 per 100 but will only sell you 2 trays at a time. I went to Scheels and they not only matched the price, but let me purchase 2 bricks. Beats the you know what out of paying shipping and hazmat on primers. The guy that runs the reloading/ammo department used to work for me. I don’t get any special deals but do get an occasional heads-up if I am looking for something.
Yours in Liberty,
BL

Teal: I am NOT sure if that ad is "politically correct" or not? But I like it - good for the fine folks at Scheel's. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy It's a holiday ad not a political ad. Exactly!

There is a Scheels in the KC METRO area. It's a good distance out of my way to go there in my travels to KC. But I will make it a point to go there now. One more good reason to not shop at BPS/Cabela's works for me.
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.

Scheels in Dallas area is a cool store. Good prices, pretty heavy firearms and reloading inventory, fast shipping for online purchases. Bass Pro and Cabelas are a pale bag of diks compared to Scheels.

They will be the next target for a woke company like Bass Pro to buy and destroy. They trashed Cabelas, bringing it down to Bass Pro levels. Somehow, those on the left will keep targeting these successful conservative companies and bring them down.

Just came back from Scheels. Happy to report for you reloaders they looked fully stocked. Ammunition… you couldn’t fit any more on the shelves. Rifle and handgun. Plenty of shotgun as well.
A lot of guns on the shelves of all kinds, I had checked over cheaper than dirt and a couple other sites online yesterday to get a feel on current prices. Tikka, Christensen, Ruger, savage, so on we’re all priced same or better than any where else I looked. Upper end guns were where I expected as well. Scopes well priced.
Prices on upper end clothing like Sitka were really good.
I went hard and fast, I had my list, one of their gals pushed one of my carts out to the Yukon helping me in the bitter cold.
Thanks Teal!

Scheel's was founded in North Dakota IIRC. It's a good store
