Is a steady stream of reminders necessary? Is it productive? Does it ever become actionable? Does it ever lead to deep, thoughtful debate where opposing views are welcome with an open mind? Nope to all of those.
To what end? Say what you will, but generally speaking I don't give much of a sh it about opposing views. That's interesting. I enjoy hearing views that opposed to mine. If we looked at your post history, I suspect that we'd find you expressing views that oppose those of others. Why do you do it? To educate them.  This was a good tangent for this thread.

I think this thread was a most excellent way for Paul to get all, well, maybe most of his angst out before his family or in-laws show up for Christmas dinner.
Isn’t it better to discuss issues that might become hostile online, than to start a conversation at the dinner table about a races stupidity and the hate most feel about it being somehow acceptable in the minds of some?
Think of it like yanking one out before you go on a date with a hot chick. Paul, wants dinner to be fun, not weird with a poor performance by having controversial discussions about current world problems.
We should all thank Paul for allowing us to vent before family shows up.
