Take a look at Maven……they have 2-3 models that would work well. Some on the fire may not like them but the ones I have had seem fine. Same business model as Tract optics….consumer direct.

I’m trying to keep the weight down. I used to run NF on most of my rifles. But that’s when I wore a younger mans clothes. I think the SWFA and a couple Lupies are 19-20 oz. I think that’s where I’m going to try and stay. This is my only true lightweight rifle. I shouldn’t have waited so long to get one. I will take a look at Maven as well. Thank you

The Trijicon Credo 3-9x40 is 17 ounces with illumination. They are one inch scopes and pretty light for what you get. Just another possibility.

I’ll take a look at that one. That brand has always been a mystery to me. No one near me sell them. A guy I bird hunt with once a year started putting them on his customs

I looked at the Trujicon Credo. I’m curious about the colored reticle. I’m colored blind. I wonder what the green would look like.

If you’re willing to go to a 20 oz scope, I’d take a look at a Vortex Razor LHT. I have a couple of them in 3-15x44 and find them very reliable for dialing, plus the glass is very good.

I've got one on my Rem M7 in .223 and it doesn't look out of place on the little carbine.

I agree with all of this. I have an earlier 3.5-10x40 and it replaced a 2.5-8x36. Size difference is negligible. Bumping up to 10x is noticeable to my aging eyes.

Curious why there's no love for the SWFA SS 2.5-10 at 9.5 ounces?

I’ve got the SS 3-9x on my lightest rifles, and I’m very happy with the compromise between capability/performance and weight.

I think I’m leaning towards the S 3 x 9 but they are back ordered. Does anyone know when they might be available? Of course by then I’ll have changed my mind a few times. I’m worse than my wife in a shoe store. Thanks and Merry Christmas guys

Tract or Meopta 2-10?

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Leupold M8-2.5x, weighs nothing and perfectly functional. Shop for a used one in gun stores, they aren't being made anymore.

And with the .30 Sneezer

I purchased 2 about 5 years ago, $125 out the door.

DD - did I ever ask you, was yours a '22 MATCH' barrel? I had a 10" that I head shot squirrels in a std 22 LR barrel, never shot with match ammo to see it's potential, but it was very efficient. It seems a 10-17" barrel gets the most out of the LR from tests I have seen.
