From a tourist perspective, as a winter destination, there's not a lot. There are the casinos. There's often good entertainment (concerts, shows, etc.) associated with them. Downtown Bay St Louis and Ocean Springs are kinda cool. Biloxi has a neat little seafood museum. Beauvoir/Jefferson Davis house is worth a stop. Someone mentioned The Shed. It's BBQ joint with a super cool vibe and really marginal food. The Gulfport Aquarium is cool. Walking across the Biloxi-Ocean Springs bridge when the weather is nice is fun. If you can find some kayaks to rent, it's a short paddle to Deer Island, and you'll have it to yourself. If the Biloxi Schooner is running, you might enjoy that. Gulf Islands National Seashore is worth a drive through. There are a few short hiking trails there. If you golf, there are some outstanding courses.

Here's a vid of The King of twine balls, Greg you seem like the kind who will enjoy it, all the best, happy trails.

I am much more enthused about it than my wife is. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve lived in Biloxi (2X’s) and Ocean Springs once. Outside of Casinos and buffets, there’s not too much, but I still like it there. But for beaches continue east to the FL panhandle.

Call me weird, but I felt more comfortable north of I-10.

I grew up in central Florida. One of the few states that the further North you go, the further South you get.

If I were a vacationing kind of guy in that area, I’d head to Gatlinburg or somewhere around there.

I’d rather be in hell with my back broke than in Gatlinburg.

Ocean Springs and Bay St. Louis are the nicer towns in the area, they both have nice downtown areas with B&B's, restaurants & music. If it was warm weather I'd say do a fishing charter or take the ferry to Ship Island. Mary Mahoney's is a really nice restaurant but a bit $$. BSL, Ocean Springs, and Biloxi have numerous good restaurants and the casinos always have something going on. New Orleans is an easy day trip. It's kind of sleepy in the winter, but it's a nice area, don't expect nice beaches and water like Florida and Alabama though. The beaches in MS are man-made, the real southern coastline of MS is the south side of the barrier islands, Cat Island, Ship Island, Petit Bois, and Horn Island. The beaches and water on the south side of those islands is really nice but you've got to have a boat to get to them.

From the little time I have spent around the MS coast, I’d be inclined to head over to somewhere in the Navarre FL area.

I did stop in a little Mississippi town this summer. Belzoni.
It looked a lot like what I imagine Rwanda would be. 😂

I've heard Biloxi shrimp are very good. I don't personally know but that's what I've been told.

I used to call on the Seabees Base at Gulfport and Keesler Air Force Base there. That was back before casinos and such. I ate some dang good oysters there.

I had the pleasure of doing the home inspections for two of the most beautiful women I have ever met in Biloxi, MS. post Katrina. Also did the inspection of the moronic mayor of Gulfport and his wife, two huge fraudsters!

Bring a translator if you go to Gulfport. The guy I worked with from there spoke an entirely different version of English.

The real Redneck Riviera starts at Ft Morgan/Gulf Shores, Alabama and goes East to Apalachacola/St George Island

This.

I live in Ocean Spring so trust me. Orange Beach or Pensacola is much prettier than anything on the MS coast line.

I lived in Ocean Springs when I worked for Ingalls. Ocean Springs is pretty nice , IMO, the best community on the Ms Gulf Coast.

Not a fan of Gulfport, Biloxi is ok but I'm glad that bridge is between it and Ocean Springs
