Trying to figure out what this is worth.

It's a Model 7 FS in 7mm-08. Date code is PJ, or June 1989.

18.5” barrel is drilled and tapped for factory irons, which are missing. Factory original Brown Precision stock has been repainted in a few spots, so it’s a good candidate for hard use in bad weather and/or a camo paint job. Bore is bright, bolt face shows very little use. Burris mounts. Swarovski scope is NOT included.

Thanks,

Okie John

7mm-08 is dying
Barrel is too short
market is soft
Available game to shoot with 7mm-08 is way down
It’s Wednesday

All of these factors impact price. Just not sure how!!!

I’ve got the exact same rifle and if I could only own one this would be it! I don’t see why you couldn’t get $1100-1200.

I have 2 like this that are Nib. I think in this condition you guys are little heavy on price. These are cool guns as the Seven is one of my favorites.

If OP lists it for $1100 it will sell in under 45 min on here. $1400 on gunbroker but you’ll have to eat the 5-10% gunbroker fees. Used to be 5% but I think it has changed a bit.

Stock is a touch rough maybe, 18.5” barrel is not as sought after as the 20” from what I’ve seen, the market is cooling a little.

Even given the above I think jmdriver is right, it would sell quick at $1100.

Probably this. I said $1500 on that recent KS 308 and was a little more than 100 low. My first thought was $1k, so the above is probably spot on! laugh

That stock is fine. A new paint job and it’s perfect! These are neat little rifles. I personally like the 18” barrel. If I didn’t have a KS in 7-08, I’d consider this little rifle.

As has been said, a few dings in the stock are easy to take care of. I used Krylon ODGreen and black webbing paint. It looks great and has held up for years. The plain gray coloration on the FS stock looks like crap anyway. But.. that’s the ONLY thing that sucks about that stock.

I’m in the croud that the gun is a nice to have, little mtn rifle, or for a kids first rifle.

7.08 is a great cartridge… my son killed 6x6 elk with his at 150 yards with it

But the avg should be around $600 on low side to $800 great price, $1000 super top end

And for comparison, I just bought one for my grandson,
Stainless, under 50 rounds for $900

In an fs stock?

The stock is worth 4-5 hundred.

All These People Saying $600-$800 Must Have Not Tried To Buy a Model 7 Lately... Must Less A FS... A Plain Jane Blued 7's Are Bring $700-$800. I'd Buy a Tractor Trailer Truck Load Of 7 FS for $ 600-$700.. Like AKwolverine Said.. This One Will Bring $1200.. If You Don't Beleave Me.. Drop It On Gunbroker And Watch It Go...Ive Sold About 10-12 7's Over Their In The Last Year and Half.. Seems The Only One's That Say The Price Is Down Are The Ones Looking For Them...
