I hunt with a guy that use to bring a couple of his friends that owned a Chinese restaurant. They would talk about duck soup AKA “Boom Boom Soup” because of its magical properties. Unfortunately they never shared the recipe! Good luck in your search, probably an endeavor worth pursuing.

Duck Carcass (cooked, and any leftover meat from it)
6 cups
Cold Water
add
Clear Gel Stock Remaining (from the duck, fat poured off)
1 teaspoon
Salt
½
Small Lemon (juice of)
½ teaspoon
Pepper
1 tablespoon
Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons
Salt-Reduced Soy Sauce (To me, KIKKOMAN is the CADDILAC of soy sauces!)
1 28-ounce can
Tomatoes (diced)
1 teaspoon
Pure Vanilla Extract
1 ½ cups
Raw Turnip (chopped)
3 medium sizeds
Potatoes (peeled or unpeeled, your preference)
½ medium sized
Onion (or 3 tbsp dehydrated onion)
3
Large Bay Leaves (small, OR two)
1 tablespoon
Dried Oregano
1 cup
Corn Niblets
1.3 cups
Carrots (shredded)
¼ cup
Barley (pearl or pot)
add
LOW Heat (let this cook, covered, for at least five hours)
add
Reason This (is cooked so slowly is because the stock will cloud if cooked too rapidly)
add
Clear Broth (slow cooking ensures)
