Does anyone have experience with putting a Remington 721 barreled action in a 700 stock? I have read it can be done, how much modification needs to be done to make it fit?

You’ll probably need to slightly work on the bolt cut in the stock and if it’s an earlier version you’ll need to inlet the rear sight boss.

I’ve done a few. The only problem is the bolt on a 721 is straight. You have to open the the stock up for the straight bolt handle , it leaves you with an ugly opening. Other than that it’s easy
Keep your head on the stock, wood on wood
