Just me, or is there a whole slew of posts "asking" what something is worth these days? Maybe we should start a new section for Dutch auctions.

Best to reply twice real value. Saves fave from being called a fire lowballer. Also stimulates the failing economy, you know the dumb [bleep] asking the question has already financed twice fake vale.

Right?? I was totally thinking about asking what my dust collecting Remington Model 7 25th Anniversary edition in 7mm-08 was worth with less than a box of ammo through it and a Vortex Diamondback 3-9 scope on it when I read the 7mm-08 was losing favor and value and Model 7's was down to less than $700.00.
Then I went on Gunbroker and saw a completed sale for said gun for $3200.00 in October.
While it appears some of these "What's it worth?" are fishing expeditions for a gun you used to be able to buy from Walmart, some rarer models and calibers are harder to gauge value and a Dutch auction is like a "What's it worth to you at this time?" and not too much different than a "WTB" ad. I'd hate to see some of the offerings by PM that a WTB add would generate.

Totally your call, but you're gonna catch some schidt for doing it here, as you should....

To be clear, I don't GAF what people sell their schit for. Just seems schitty to "ask" what things are worth. Post up a price and sell your wares or don't. Just don't be a puzzy and ask what it's "worth" in hopes that you get a PM war over pricing.
