Howa's website seems really messed up and all I've been able to find so far is a barrelled action. Anyone know whether they offer the mini as a rifle in 350 Legend?

When I search on "350 Legend", it says "No products were found matching your selection.". 2.) When I search on "Mini action", there's no version that says "350 Legend" 1. They are the distributors. And yes they catalog it. https://www.legacysports.com/brands/howa_catalog/mini-action/

Those are really nice rifles
I just hate that long mag hanging down on them
But shooting and quality pretty nice in that class

I bought one in 6.5 Grendel with two stocks for my grandkids when Shortactionsmoker worked up a group buy some time back. My local gun guy told me that his wholesale price for the rifle was more than i paid for the combo. It is really accurate and would suffice for 95% of my deer hunting.

I got the wife one in 7.62x39 deer season before last. It is a pretty nice rifle at the price point. This one was the original version with the Big Paddle Magazine Release. I do need to convert it to the current improved version. I did a little work on the trigger. I put a 30mm Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5-10X scope on it. I believe I used an EGW scope base on it. I am old, and it would have looked better with a wood stock. I get it however a wood stock would have probably added $100-$150 to the Price Tag, if not more. One in 350 Legend would be a nice deer rifle for most hunting in my area.

Bumping this back up with all of the recent interest in the mini. Has anyone seen one of these yet?

I’d like to see them with a longer barrel, 20-22”. The stubby 16 1/4” seems to be standard with only IIRC one RAR and the somewhat heavy Franchi Momentum having longer tubes in bolt guns, along with the Henry SS. Maybe one or more of the foreign SSs offer one too. Not sure how much speed the longer ones deliver, but moving the noisy end another 6” away from my ears seems like a good idea, and I suspect the balance would be better as well. Spare me the can and earpro presentations please. I do what I do…..

His loads clock roughly 40fps faster than mine. The short mini in a carbon stock would be marvelous I think.

Everyone has their preference on balance and barrel length but I really like the 22" in the Grendel. At the same contour/length the 350 will be a touch lighter than the 6.5 so, for my preference, I doubt I'd want it shorter. For me, it's less about performance and more about balance....a 22" can be made 16" fairly easily.....a lot more involved to make a 16" a 22".

No shortage of 22" .350s. Winchester (XPR), Mossberg (Patriot), Savage (Axis & 110), CVA (Cascade), along with the mentioned Ruger and Franchi, offer the .350 with longer barrels. Any bolt gun with a long mag hanging out the bottom gets a pass from me though

There was no appreciable loss in velocity, but it did get louder w/o the can attached. Same loads also got similar speeds in my 22 inch Ruger American. One of the 350 's attributes is it is pretty mild in blast and recoil.

Interesting. If (big if) I got involved with one, I’d be concerned with how it balanced as much as anything. Had one or two rifles in the past that balanced very poorly.
At this point the new .360 looks better to me, in a SS when they land. Not likely to happen, but you know how buying “accidents” occur🤔
