Im sure it’s nothing compared to some guys, but just realized how many redundant calibers I own.
17-.22lr’s
6-.223’s
2-.243’s
2-.7-08’s and a third coming
2- .308’s
4-.30-06’s
4-12ga’s
2-20ga’s
2-410ga’s
4-9mm’s
2-.45acp’s
2-.38spcl’s
4-.50cal ML’s.

I really need to just sell a bunch of scheit and get back to a working battery of rifles.

I have 54 .22 rifles, including 19 10/22s. My Wife says that I'm a maximalist.

I thought this would be a 308 vs 30-06 type thread, now I know why I couldn't find any 22lr ammo for a while...

Good luck with that. I’ve been making a sincere effort to do that very thing and it seems l’m losing ground. 🤔

Well first off you need to understand that caliber refers just to the diameter of the bullet.

Cartridge combines both the caliber and the casing of the firearm.

Then you need to start hunting to learn what is a "working" rifle.

Don't worry, Blondie, we are here to help.

Few more '06's and you'd be set.
Nice collection.

I need to show this thread to my wife. I'm way behind or way ahead depending on how you look at it.

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

I'm wondering why have so many? Been selling a few at a time for a few months now. Feels better to have fewer. Really. Might sell enough to move a safe out to the T1-11 shop.

Some. The worst is 7mag.
Not because there are 3.
But that one has been mine for 18 years and never fired.
Another is....Lefty! Came in a package deal never left.

I figure Jackmountain is pretty young. I know that I am still not in my prime and I only have 9 06s. However, last year I added two 348 winchesters, 1 458 Win, 5 30-30s, 1- 30 government06, 1 32 win special, 1 32-40, 2 25-20s, 1 303 Savage, 1 300 Weatherby, 3 300 Winchesters, 1 7 Rem, 1 44 Mag revolver, 1-45 Colt revolver, 1 -22 Lr revolver and a stoeger 12 gauge sg. I need to firm up my varmint rifles and I still don't have a 9.3X62 or 9.3X57 so I figure I am still in the starter set. However, it starts getting harder to move them. I am going to be working on many turn of the century rifles this year.

These dick measuring contests are always entertaining. The biggest ones rarely get whipped out because they don't feel the need to be on display. They just are.

3...3006s
3....308s

And since i starting using a 6.5 prc....the above spend a lot of time just sitting. There is absolutely no drama using hornady 6.5 prc pro hunter 143 gr.......everything drops just like Newton's law says it will.

I told my wife I had to make a moral decision a long time ago. One woman and a bunch of guns or one gun and a bunch of women. She walked away saying what ever but she had a smile on her face. She knew she was the one!!!
