I use mulberry in mine as much as charcoal, maybe more. Light it in a chimney just like the charcoal.

Mine was half-price at Lowes.

I loved mine for many years, then got into the Weber gas grills and the Traeger pellet fired grill. Haven't looked back but my youngest son still cooks on his Weber Kettle. And I'll admit, he puts out some very good grub.

Paging 'Flave. Paging 'Flave. Dude has probably aced more food on a Weber than anyone else on the fire. My experiences are limited to a BGE, so I will not opine here. Looking forward to his feedback. Love him or hate him, the guy can flat out cook/grill.

I also think he's funnier than David Spade on an eight-ball, but understand that might be an acquired taste.

Fixed for a friend...

+/-$200 to replace.

Bad design to not come with a tether or hinge.

Maybe explain how that happened before trashing the design. I'm guessing the owner did something stupid...

Ho Lee Fook. If we're gauging the quality of grills based upon how well they bounce, then fugk. Wasn't one of my search criteria when I was shopping best grills on the planet. Fugk me....

Guess I was showing out when I just assumed that I wasn't stupid enough to toss mine around like a slinky. Amazing.

His wife opened the BGE with the lid on...

The lid fell off and hit the ground and broke.

If it had been on a leash or had been hinged it would not have fallen to the ground and broken.

Lot’s of cooking on the Weber Kettle over the decades. We are on our 3rd one. I have an almost unlimited supply of oak and hickory kindling wood. I use that to get a fire started and then throw the charcoal on the wood coals. The best way in the world (absolutely no lighter fluid) to get a fire going. I can cook over the charcoal or if I prefer, just get a good wood fire going and cook over the wood coals. Usually it’s charcoal though.

That’s getting serious there.

I’ve only smoked ribs in it so far. Having the hinge saves a lot of hassle with the lid.
