10 year old wants to start shooting a compound.
Draw length about 22".
Anyone have one sitting in the closet not being used anymore?
Or any experience with youth bows and can offer advice of what to look for.

Genesis is what you seek. The entire family can shoot it, because it has an infinite draw, so to speak. Unless, you know, you have a lefty in your klan. Then you need two bows...never a break.
Anyway, the Genesis is approved for archery league shooting. You can shoot with/without sites (you'd be surprised how quick kids can shoot instinctively).
My girls and wife learned on the Genesis bow and I had a hoot teaching them with it. That's all they shoot till, because hunting never entered the picture. I enjoy shooting the Genesis, when I don't want to draw my hunting bow.
