what is the deal with Rem-arms? I know they planned on making the 870 again, but what about the rest of the line? how do you distinguish their production from the old company.

Serial numbers begin with “RAR” from what I’ve noticed.

I’ve seen some Rem Arms 700 rifles in Scheels. They’re ADL with Tupperware stocks and matte black metal finish. They were priced in the high $500 range. I’m not an ADL fan or a Tupperware stock fan but the rest looked fine.
And saw some 12 ga 870s as well. Think they’re called fieldmasters. They looked better than the express but not as nice as the old Wingmaster.

I think they're making a few SPS's as well.

They can't pick up with the same business plan that bankrupted the former owners. They are taking baby steps, it seems to me.

The quality I've seen on the new 700's has been good. They are making the 870's, and although I have not handled one, I've heard they were good as well.

I have seen rem 700's on the rack at a local store. They aren't the new custom ones that people were talking about 6 months ago. They were the adl's with tupperware stocks.

The 870 Fieldmasters I've inspected are very nice, indeed. They blow away the older Express. And they went back to an aluminum trigger assembly and guard.

The 700 ADLs and SPSs I've looked at, likewise, appear to be better finished and slicker than the old models made by the previous company.

I know they are turning out the BDL rifle now, as well as the V3 shotgun. I haven't seen either of these up close.

Could these have been new old stock? Or were they definitely new production from Remarms?

Pretty easy if you can see a side by side from new to newish. The finish on the new 870's is much better than the past. I'm talking the somewhat recent past.

Commendable cartridge choice.

RemArms is producing the CDL again. Just not in .280 at this point. But several are in stock at Elk County Ammo and Arms in other calibers.

They have moved their HQ to Lagrange GA and temporarily set up production in an established building. They are building a huge facility that is still just in the dirt moving stage. It is going to take some time. I truly hope they bring back the quality they once were known for…

In my opinion the 700 action was the best non custom action. Love the BDLs. Great for custom builds
