This reminds me, gotta put a call and facemask in my pocket next week during the Mountaineer Heritage Season. Deer, bear, or turkey; or all three!🙄

L.F. Cox trumpet
1 or 2 diaphragms
Beretta a400 20 gauge
Handful of shells

Other than that it’s just same stuff I always carry pistol/spare mag,knife,wallet,phone,maybe a snack.

I don’t pack that much gear for an out of state trip. You’ve got me beat.

Knife lives in my pocket. Couple extra shells in my pocket. Some times a spare knife on my belt. If it’s crappy weather I’ll leave the box call in the truck.

I have this chest pack. Everything is easy to grab in a hurry. The pack is always semi-snug to my body and not flopping or sliding around.
Gloves and mask in a cargo pants pocket or in the pack.

If it won’t fit in the pack, I probably don’t need it.

Couple zip ties
Bottle of water
Couple mouth calls
Venison jerky & snickers
Few wraps of electrical tape around a Bic lighter.

The pack has a pocket just for a pot call and striker.


Sometimes I’ll bring the whole rig and sometimes just the cushions.
