With another season down, what are the opinions of those who are running the Tract Toric 15x56 binos. Has anyone been able to compare them directly to other 15x56's, particularly the Meopta Meostar?

I have the Tract 15x56's, and I like them, but I've only compared them to Vortex Diamondback 15x56's which are considerably less expensive. The Vortex glass is not as good edge to edge but other than that the difference is not all that noticeable to my eyes. Tracts are heavier and feel solidly built.

Bumping this to the top one more time because I have the exact same question. I'm having a hard time deciding between the Tracts and the Meoptas, and I won't have an opportunity to look through either before buying.

You might be able to order both and return whichever one you don't keep.

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

Never owned the Meopta, but I've owned the Swarovski 15X56 and I now have the Tract. I am very pleased with the Tract

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Tract has a wider IPD if that’s an issue. They did not work for me.

Not really an issue for me. Why didn't they work for you? Was it an IPD issue?

Yes, with an adapter they were to wide.

Eta; Meopta barely works for me.

The Tracts have more eye relief. If you wear glasses like me that may be an issue.

I do have glasses. Are the Meoptas hard to get behind?

I don't have Meoptas but I have the 8x and 12.5x Tracts. If you look at the specs the 15x Meoptas list 15mm eye relief. The Tracts show 17mm. My 12.5's show 16.6 and I get full FOV.

Tract had a clearance sale/open boxes few days back.
Almost got some. Just don’t need them right now.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

The Meoptas will be more resalable than the Tract, for when you go back to a bino/spotting scope combo.

BTDT. Spotting scopes don’t work well for the type of hunting I like to do.

Point taken on resale value, though. Is that just because Tract is a lesser-known brand?

That, plus the drama with Trevor and the current situation with the field evaluation on a certain other outdoor website. The company seems a bit shady.

You saying Tract is shady? Can I get more information or a link on this drama and/or field evaluation

I shouldn’t have said shady, as that’s not really the right word. More like inconsistent.
The most recent is a scope evaluation thread on a different site; I’m not going to drive traffic away from Rick so won’t be linking to it.

If you can settle for 50mm Objective lens' you should consider the GPO Passion HD 12.5x 50mm. Call Doug @ cameralandny & ask him about this brand/model of bino.

I've been running the Meopta's for about 4 years now and they have been used alot in those 4 yrs. . I've been pleased with them and I've had them side by side with my friend's Swaro 15x56. The Swaro is a hair better on clarity at the very edge of FOV but that's about all I could find. It wasn't enough to make me want to swap my Meopta's for the Swaro's.

Are you running these? Whats the story? What have you compared them to?
