This is a great tongue-in-cheek list and explanation of the words needing burial without headstones, my take anyway.

Don't get excited. It's all in good fun every year.

Top of mind. Normal people do not speak like this. It shows how detached these nitwits are from reality

I don't give much of a damn about what some inexperienced college pukes think about the language we speak, but if they really want to contribute to the betterment of said language, how about banishing poor grammar and speech. Maybe start with phrases such as, "Should Of" (Should Have) and, "Hone In", (Home In).

@jameslavish

If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.

This is inflation

A few more well worn out words and phrases of the Internet generation... you can think me later, unobtainium, easy peasy, wrap my head around, back in the day, photos or it didn't happen, ramping up, a special place in hell, works for me, anything on steroids, "north" for more, "south" for less, I rescued (something inanimate), comfort zone, fan boy, what's not to like, drink the kool aid, point in time, warm and fuzzy, just sayin', full disclosure, price point (when "price" works fine), mothership, Benjamins, ""run" instead of "use"...

"Inflection Point" is a perfectly valid mathmatical term that is often used incorrectly by people who don't understand it. The problem is not with the term. The problem is with the people who don't understand it. So, sure, banish the term instead of addressing the real problem.

Bicycle Barnard takes great umbrage at my use of the word "so". In an apologetic tone, I would like to say that "so" works better than "hence" which most people find pedantic, archaic and pretentious. So there.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

That list. So lame. Overuse of hyperbole is exhausting.
