New 5" exhaust... New batteries... PPE trans pan and many other upgraded trans parts. Front end seems tight. Engine is perfect. Locking front axle is a huge bonus. Needs a bath... been sitting. $7,000 was his offer. I accepted. Cash.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Cash; Good afternoon again my friend, I hope life is as it should be for you all.
Thanks for the update, it sounds like you made a good decision.
The locking hubs kits seem to go for at least $2000US for parts alone so that alone is something.
At one time I looked at putting them on ours, but up here by the time I bought the parts it just didn't pencil out - but - that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to.
Best to you all.
Dwayne
Edit to add; We've chatted about the front drive shaft being an issue on these years since when they blow up they really come apart.
It strikes me that with the free wheeling front hubs at least that shouldn't happen unless it's in 4WD mode?
Another plus, but one still needs to watch for wear on it I'm sure.

Stick a 12” chrome stack up through the middle of the bed just behind the cab. Cruise past the local high school and roll a little coal. Should bring $25k as is with no oil in the trans by around 3:05 p.m.
Bump a little Kane Brown for a few extra benjamins just for fun.
YMMV

YMMV Absolutely. I bought a 2004.5 new, ran it for 10 years, sold it to my Dad. He still has it, has about 150k on it now. I wouldn't let him sell it for less than $25k.

$7,500 Trans had a bad seal when rebuilt 300 miles ago... Trans will need to be pulled and gone thru. New clutches probably. 2004.5 HO Cummins. Strong engine. Bone stock. Short bed. No rust. Yes or no? Unless you know and trust the people that worked on it, and are selling it, DON'T. I think those are the trucks that require pulling the entire cab off to work on the engines. Not that many know how to fix them, and it is expensive.
