I’m wanting to do a little road trip from central Texas through Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana visiting some local small town “old school” gun shops and pawn shops. I’m into used collectible type guns and not interested in new guns or black guns. What are some “must visit” places that I can map out on my road trip? Shops in N/NE/E Texas would be good to know as well!
Thanks for any suggestions!

If you get as far as Columbia, LA, the Spotted Dog is a good one. It's on the main highway, Hwy 165.

I’m mostly into hunting type rifles (factory not customs). Bolt actions, lever actions, and T/C Encores/Contenders. I like older revolvers and auto pistols too if they are collectible type guns. I’m not as interested in shotguns or military type stuff.

In Oklahoma:
Murf's guns in Duncan Gene Sears in El Reno (shotgun heavy) H&H in OKC Big Boy Toys in Yukon (I've not been there)
There are also some places you'll want to visit in Tulsa.

This is kind of the pork chop answer as to what is the best steak.
There is a knife shop in Columbia, Louisiana named Knife Works that is suppose to be phenomenal. Columbia is 40 miles south of Monroe on 165.
Plan to stop there tomorrow, time permitting.
Edit: I see Big Dave already recommended it.

Used to be a really good Gun shop I visited in Tulsa, can’t recall the name. We had an office in Tulsa and I’d hit that Gun shop when I could.
Isn’t there a place in Tulsa called Van’s that sells primers, but you have to buy like gazillion of them or buy a rifle or something to that effect. Seems like it’s owned buy a Vietnamese guy.
Thanks, Billy

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first
