It sure is pretty when you get hoar frost or snow on the branches like that. Nice pix!

Hey Paul, I trust you are having an excellent Monday!

Beautiful location, looks like a moose will be walking through your yard at any time.

Would you like to see a few of my backyard?

Have a good one KB

New 2 99's;
Good afternoon Paul, I hope the day has been decent to you and your fine family and you're all well.

Thanks once more for taking the time to share what your section of the world looks like, it's one of my more favorite things on the 'Fire here - seeing a slice of life that's different from my own.

We do get hoar frost down at our elevation on occasion, but more often it'll be up the mountain another 1500' or so. When we get it sometimes it's a strange combination of bone penetrating moisture and cold too. One of the FN peoples, perhaps the Blackfoot Nation, called it White Death as it's tough to keep warm and nearly impossible to start a fire when it really sets in, but my goodness is it ever pretty to look at.

I need to send you congratulations on the recognition for your food photos too. While I don't always comment I do always enjoy them immensely my friend.

Like Leighton, your composition and colors are so vivid that I can almost smell them and even if I see them after a meal, they make me hungry.

All the best to you all this year, lets hope its a bit calmer than last year.

Dwayne

Dwayne, in Saskatatechewan, did they have clotheslines high, on pulleys?

wabigoon;
Good almost evening to you my old friend, I hope you and your fine family are well.

Yes for sure when I was a kid in Saskatchewan most yards had clotheslines. From what I can recall they were usually at least 8' off the ground and yes they were on pulleys.

I want to say ours was light metal cable?

Somehow I recall Dad had mounted it on a power pole in the yard and that wasn't technically allowed, but the Sask Power guys seemingly looked the other way.

All the best to you all in 2023 wabigoon.

Dwayne

Beautiful photos! Love the look of that Hoar frost. We don't see it often here in SE Alberta but when we do, it is bloody cold outside!

Great pictures of the hoar frost — love seeing it on the trees early in the day.

Nicely done with the camera and thanks for taking the time to put that series together.

Got a ton of that white stuff in the yard now. Cookie, though, always wants to add a little life. [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]
