My rifles is one of the early G series stainless 375 rifles that I had Dave Caboth cut the barrel to 21” and turn down to featherweight contour. I put a McMillian M70 ftw stock on it and it’s a mighty handy bear rifle .

A bit offside, but are there any classic stainless dates of manufacture to avoid? I'm looking to use one as the base for a build.

You will get different answers from different people. I tend to stick with serial number under G200000. You will find poor examples in this range and great examples above this number. It is just what I like! Part of it may be just the challenge of finding lower serial numbers. Some will deny these numbers hold any premium but I will pay more for them so I can’t imagine I am the only one.

I have one for sale in .375 hh on gunbroker right now which has a muzzle brake.

I would be interested in getting one that’s in original condition. Trade or buy. PM me if you want to talk

The one I have is a G97xxx

Can anybody give me a ballpark age on it?

Also, I was reading a post in another thread and somebody mentioned that the bolt sleeve or something can slip leaving you high and dry. Can anybody explain this to me and possible recommend a gunsmith that could fix it?

Thank you!

How much are these things worth today? I'm thinking of trading mine for something I'd use more but not sure of a value. I've been offered a fairly large sum of cash from a guy but I passed (that was like a year and a half ago), I've also been low balled pretty hard on it too.

I see one with zero bids at 3k on gunbroker but the zero bids makes me think thats high.

Thanks!!!

Those were pretty sought after. I'd guess if I wanted one, I'd give 1200-1500 pretty easily depending on condition.

Poodle Dad. I’m interested in yours if no muzzle brake, and I have lots of trade material. Can’t send you a pm because you just joined. Email me at geymandonyahoo.com
