Does anyone have any knowledge or first hand experience with husvarna shotguns? Quality, reliability, and what they would be worth? Thanks.

I thought growing old would take longer.

What model and configuration? Husqvarna made quite a few different shotguns over the years. Some are only worth a couple hundred bucks, others bring premium prices

I have a pair of 51's that are great for me.

Pic from a couple weeks ago. 12ga 2.5" chambers.

7/8 oz #6 ITX or 1 ox #5 Bismuth is quite effective if you let them get close enough.

Most Husqvarnas will have 2.5" chambers. I think the best ones are the ones with a Greener crossbolt. I can't think of the model numbers right now. Model 20's are utilitarian but quite stout, they are hammer guns with under lever lock up.

Like said before many models and grades. Mostly 12ga short chambers.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I have a few hammerless box lock Husqvarna shotguns and really like them. Early model 310s usually have 2 1/2 inch chambers. The later models and all 210, 610, 350, 615 and 1310 have 2 3/4 inch chambers. Most are choked full and full or full and IM. In Canada they were once available at a reasonable cost but the supply has dwindled. I’m still looking for a decent model 610 and 1310.

I have no hammer guns but would pick one up if found. They are usually 2 1/2 inch chambers.

I have seen them and held them but that is about it. They did feel like a quality piece

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

The model 310 and 210 had the greener cross bolt, with the 310 being more desirable. The 210 was made to take up the lower end of the market without much success and were only made in 1939 and 1940. The 310 sported 2 3/4 inch chambers from serial number 165000 onwards (1937). Most hammerless guns are 12 gauge, a 16 and 20 is a rarity. I’ve only seen one in 16 gauge for sale in Canada.

Most of these guns sold in Canada and the US are cast offs from Europe and some are in poor condition, but there are some very nice guns that surface.

I owned a 16ga Husqvarna 310AS for many years and it was a very high quality double. They made some inexpensive guns and others that any double gun fan would be proud to own. Here's a link to a section dedicated to Huskies on a Swedish shotgun website: https://www.shotguns.se/html/husqvarna.html

Pursuit may be, it seems to me, perfect without possession.

I believe the O/U husqvarnas are of Italian manufacture. They were not made in Sweden. When you asked about Husqvarna shotguns I assumed you were talking about the SxS.
