I guess any hope of the fieldcraft coming back is pretty much gone at this point. Barrett

Well good. I wish I’d bought 20 of them back a few years ago!

I already figured that when Barrett sold the Fieldcraft last year.

I wonder how long it will be before they cut civilian sales altogether? Why would you think they'd want to do that?

Between the Colt Light Rifle, The Forbes Rifle Company, and now the Fieldcraft, I'm beginning to think that this project is cursed.

I guess any hope of the fieldcraft coming back is pretty much gone at this point. BarrettSaw that this morning. Surprised me...but I'm always thinking about guns, not the business of guns. Between the Colt Light Rifle, The Forbes Rifle Company, and now the Fieldcraft, I'm beginning to think that this project is cursed. You could say it's gotten better each time though....and the last was a massive improvement. Hopefully the previous sale of the Fieldcraft that DropTyne mentioned leaves it open for production outside of Barrett and it will be it's own firearms company that focuses solely on the Fieldcraft.

If they already sold the FC line to another manufacturer, why does it matter who owns Barrett?

If the FC line was sold, I'd want to know a lot about what else was bought aside from the name and trademark, re: machines, institutional knowledge, QC employees brought over? As we've learned recently from Remington/Marlin, just buying the line doesn't always get you the old rifle back.

So, no one owns it or did it go back to Barrett?

The deal to purchase the TDP for Fieldcraft never materialized as the funding never happened. Everything Fieldcraft related was in storage containers behind the plant. This included spare parts, fixturing, tooling, etc.
