Baikal made an affordable one and was imported by Remington a while back. Very affordable and I haven't read one positive article about them being very Good! My brother in Law bought one before he got sick and passed and I told his experienced Boy's to do their home work before using it just in case. HS 58

I have a minty Pedersoli hammer double in 45-70 I'd consider selling for $4K.
I shot it 14 times.
I don't use it because I have a CSMC Double 20 gauge rifled slug gun called the "Professional"

i have a remington baikal 45/70 double
i regulate it at 60yds and it shoots better than i can
its not a holland and holland but theres not a thing i can see wrong with it

I have a Baikal 45/70 and one in 30/06. They are fun to shoot and plenty accurate for me. For the price, you cant go wrong.

Baikal 45-70 not as affordable as I thought they were. One just sold last week on gunbroker for $3025

I used a Petersoli (if I remember correctly) that had been rechambered to 450 NE to shoot a water buffalo. They were relatively cheap back then. Not so much anymore.
