This is a buffing/polishing mop of some sort that some guy was using to polish the inside of his reloading dies with. I have not been able to locate one through a Google search or found any store that carries them.

The picture is super small, but it looks like it may be a shotgun barrel mop.

Thanks. I was thinking that also, but to me it looked a little to wide at the end toward the drill for that.

I have used rifle size chamber mops and Flitz to "polish" dies that had begun scratching cases. It is not polishing the die itself as much as removing any grit or galled smears of brass that may be present. The same size mop I use to dry the chamber after cleaning. My last bag of these was purchased from Brunos.


Let me know if you ever want a lesson in shooting and actually using a MEASURING device... ha ha

MikeS, Yes that's what I'm looking to do. Stammster, that first one the AR-10 bore mop looks like it's the one that is the in the pic. Thanks everyone that replied!

On a separate note, I've used a 20 ga bore mop to polish my dies. It works just as well.
