Are there any calls that work better than rabbits, and other distress calls this time of year ?

coyote based sounds such as female lone howls, whimpers, and breeding sounds and coyote fights have been working good the last couple weeks

Get yourself a Lil dog from primos. It's a Randy Anderson call. Howl and set there. If they are in the area, they'll come check you out. May take a while, they can hear that from a long ways.
