A few days ago over on ARF, someone did a poll asking AR pistol owners to respond with whether or not they intended to use the Special 2021R-08F eForm 1 with SOT forbearance, based on their vaccination status.

For sure. I'm just hoping something was learned over the last three years.

The rule stipulates that one option for compliance is to destroy the brace (Citation 1.0), but at the same time the brace is a firearm accessory, which the ATF readily admits they do not regulate(Citation 1.1). Further, the ATF has made no effort to address this conflicting guidance with regard to ATF Rule 2011-4, which was drafted in response to US v. Thompson Center Arms Co. This newest pistol brace rule, ATF FINAL RULE 2021-08F, and it's supporting documentation are full of inconsistencies and conflicting statements.
