This is coming my way in a couple of days. Can someone move the photo to the thread and tell me what the secret is to be moving from the gallery to the forum? .300 Savage obviously. Not one hundred percent sure of the model though. I think it is an EG.

Right click on the image and select 'copy image address'

Go to the post and select 'Use Full Editor'

Click on insert image link (it's just right of the smily face)

Paste the link and you should see the pic

I can't thank you both enough. I finally got it. This may wind up with a Lightfoot mount and I would sell the stith mount and weaver 330 and then post a photo. We shall see.

Is that a Utica gun? It has the Savage logo on the buttplate that was dropped at about the time of the move to Chicopee.

Got it and it is a beauty.1944 vintage, Utica plant, early weaver 330 scope and a nice stith mount. Pictures will show up if all is well and the creeks don't rise.
