Starting the inaugural smoke on the K4L Drum Cooker. ----- Chuck roast all seasoned up and just set on the grate. ----- Descent bark and ready to wrap. ----- Made for some good meals for sure! Thanks for looking!

The people wringing their hands over Trump's rhetoric don't know what time it is in America.

Looks good.

Looks good. Thanks! 300º for the cook, when chuck roast was barked up nice foiled it till it probed tender to let it rest before pulling it. If I recall right when it probed tender IMT was 206º. Was a 3 1/2 hour cook before the rest.

I prefer chuck to brisket. And since there are just 2 of us it is a better choice.

When playing around and trying new stuff to try out on brisket, I often smoke a chuck roast. It is way cheaper than working on a brisket and taste a little different than a brisket but is still good. I might smoke a chuck roast up and make some chili out of it. Been seeing a lot of smoked chili recipes on YouTube doing a smoked brisket recipe. I did a pulled pork chili the other day, it was different but good.

Thoughts on the K4L Drum Cooker ? Have done two cooks on it now, runs just like our other drums, solid and stable temps. I love drums!
