Looking to get a Rem 700 rebarrelled by a competent smith near memphis Tn. Any recommendations? I’ve sent most of my varmint rifles off to Hart in the past and have been very pleased with their work….just tired of dealing with shipping headaches.
Thx, Ben

There was a gunshop in Germantown, on the west side (off Poplar I think) that advertised gunsmithing services. Can't remember the name, though.

There used to be a guy in Memphis named Tim Claunch. He posted a lot on tndeer.com. He builds benchrest and F-Class rifles. He's a good 'smith. Years ago, he was with Avery Outdoors. If he still 'smithing for the public, he'd be the guy I'd use.

For the love of God don't. I was going to refrain from posting my opinion on this but you posted it. Caveat emptor Arms Fair on Trinity Rd in Cordova does gunsmithing
