Is Winchester still making them?

Yes, they're made in Japan but Winchester still makes them. New ones are very nice actually.

Thanks for the link. I can't remember when the last new one I saw for sale in a gun show. I have seen a couple made by Taylors and Co., one in .30-30 and one in .38-55.

Uberti is making a really nice version of the original without any of the modern “conveniences”. Finding one in the U.S. might be a challenge. Perhaps the Italian Firearms Group might be able to get one.

Cimarron is marketing a rifle and carbine of the 94 in each caliber. I think they are the Uberti, but you could get in touch with them. I think that, like everything else, they are scarce as hens teeth.

I've tried finding a used one. But, unless I'm willing to pay Gunbroker prices, I haven't had any luck. Bud's has a few of the Cimarron versions, but no carbines in .30-30. I guess I'll keep looking.

The first "94" my family purchased (new and not on sale) was in 1972 and cost us $49.00 from a local Rexall drug store.

Might have the name but Winchester ceased to exist years ago as did any USA made guns.

I got a really nice one a few weeks back.

On this forum….

From bugger.

It was a 32 WS and had the nicest bore I have seen in years.
