Otis came to hunt pheasants and kill skunks, and he is fresh out of skunks. Reason number 84 as to why my dogs ride in dog boxes in the bed of a truck. 3 trips to South Dakota, 3 skunked dogs.

Yep. Thinking about moving there. I like the Spearfish/Belle Fourche area. The area WAS an undiscovered gem.

Many times. Lots to do and nice folks. If I were moving, it would be on my short list.

A wonderful state to live in and raise your family . If you are thinking about moving out West , it's vastly superior to Wyoming.

Alwaysoutdoors: Yes, many times! Mostly for Varmint Hunting and a few times for touring/sight seeing. Well worth the effort to get there on both accounts. Two words: "WALL DRUG" (for milkshakes). Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

We were blessed to live in the Black Hills for 5 years. The only thing that could pry us out was grandkids elsewhere.

It is where both sides of my folks are from. A great state but there are two things: 1) Everybody except the farmers and even many of them stay indoors most of the Summer. You can't find anybody outside of their air conditioned houses. They have a lot of luncheons. 2) There are a lot of Pakis and people from India in Sioux Fall now. There are Somalis there too. CC companies have screwed up that town.
