Last time I was there I couldn't get out soon enough. This (my first trip there was in the 80s) It’s a shame what they did to Jackson Hole....

Last time I was there I couldn't get out soon enough. This (my first trip there was in the 80s) It’s a shame what they did to Jackson Hole.... Trying to do it to Sheridan now...

Yep for 3 cow bison hunts on the refuge.
They allow hunting on the National Elk Refuge for those that don't know.
Found out some of the hotels give hunters' rates, very nice discount if you know to ask.
Locals are fine folks.

Many times. Hunted out of there. Packed out of there. Drove the stage coach downtown for 3 days onetime. Partied there. When I first went there, there were cowboys and guides hanging out at the bars downtown. Had 2 big guys, from Casper there hunting, one had played Pro football. They were known to be pretty tough. They were drunk in the Rancher Saloon , Picked up the jute box and threw it out the front window. The bouncers could not handle them, they laughed at them as they tossed em around. Course the cops came and same results. One of the big guys ran out of the bar and jumped in the cop car ,turned on the siren , drove around the square several times. Then they told the cops and the owner they would pay for everything. Got the cops laughing ,shaking hands with the bouncers and the cops . Were charged with a small crime . Funny as hell.

24 years ago went with a buddy on our days off and drank in the bars. Never been back since and have no desire.

I always laugh when people tell me they have been to WY and turns out they have been to Jackson. Jackson isn’t Wyoming. It’s a yuppie, liberal sh  t hole. Yes the landscape is beautiful, but the people suck.
