My son-in-law has bought one in 22 Nosler with a suppressor. Seems like the action is pretty noisy in and of itself so it defeats the purpose of the suppressor. Anyone have that experience? Any thoughts on how to address?

Even with a suppressor, the shot will be louder than the action.

I assume he is hearing buffer spring inside buffer tube noise as well as the action cycling noise ?

If so the Jp silent capture should help some. It’s definitely is quieter that traditional setup. Not exactly cheap though

I don’t believe anything you can do about the cycling noise short of making sure lubed properly. although running plastic mags seems to be quieter to me than aluminum or steel mags. Although that could be in my head as well


Take suppressor off and shoot it. You will see quickly it isn’t defeating the purpose of the suppressor.
