Narvik is a port in northern Norway that the Germans wanted to use and which will also give them access to Norwegian and Swedish ore mines. The Allies also wanted this port. In 62 days of land and sea warfare there were 62 ships sunk, 86 planes shot down and 8,500 killed. Even though Norway was a neutral country their soldiers armed with Krag Jorgensen rifles were involved in some of the fighting. A good part of the story was re the impact on the civilian population but still plenty of action. Worth watching IMO.

Good piece on history, uniforms and weapons were flawless...and even the civilian human side of the story, was meaningful with the message it carried. Not many people are aware of the huge rift between the Norsk people after the war. There were resisters, then there were cooperators, and the Quislings. There was no 'forgive and forget'.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
