Not to familiar with these, but the design looks cool.

2 3/4" or 3" barrel??? Gas operated and that is important with these 2000's!.
Very nice, light, and well made Brownings. I have a similar condition 20 ga. However, your barrel will dictate what you shoot if reliability is important to you!

Looked again and saw 3". Ejection can be problem with 2 3/4" shells based on my experience. It used to be that an extra barrel could be purchased fairly easily for a reasonable price... especially in the twelves. These guns were also "fixed" chokes as mentioned above. Slug barrels w/ open sights were available, too. Side loading feature was nice!

Is this one considered a double automatic? Holding only 2 shells?

No. Gas operated for one and it holds, IIRC, 3 3" shells in the magazine or 4 2 3/4" shells if "unplugged."

The double autos were all 12's, Belgium made, and built in the late 50's/early 60's. Early ones were steel receivers, later ones were alloy receivers and multiple colors.
The B2000's were made in the mid to late 70's, made in Belgium but assembled in Portugal, gas operated, and available in 12 and 20 gauge.

Brothers have these in 12 and 20 ga. They bought the 12s in the 70s. Have killed truck load of pheasants with them. But they don’t get much use anymore, as they moved on to lighter guns.

Twentys are definitely more petite than the twelves and they are definitely not "featherweights" like a Franchi or a Benelli Superlight BUT they are not as heavy as an Auto 5 either.
They do come up and point nicely though. Good Browning autos from the transition era from Belgium guns to Japanese Mirokus.

Correct. 3" chamber barrels probably won't cycle 2 3/4" shells. But when a barrel is swapped, no other adjustment is needed.
20 gauge 2000s are going for $1200. Those were sweet handling, especially the 26"

Your price is more than fair especially given the high condition. Someone who really knows these shotguns will appreciate it for what it is. I wish I was still in "buying" mode as I always wanted to add a 28" twelve to the stable.

no longer available here. I also had it listed on auction, ending today, and it currently has a bid, so will only sell on GB to the highest bidder
