Pints, have you considered an inshore trip? Lots of good flats fishing in those parts. 20+ years ago we booked a trip with captain Butch Rickey in Pine Island Sound, it was excellent. He uses light spinning tackle and we caught trout, redfish, and snook. Good boat, good gear, and he knows the place really well.
He's still operating down there, if he's booked I'm sure he could recommend someone else.
Flats fishing is a blast. We would anchor down tide of slough and cuts, toss a live shiner up into the current and let it drift through the cuts, the action was fast, and a snook or redfish on light tackle was a lot of fun.
