This is turning into a season to remember for our family. Success isn't necessarily measured in numbers, but numbers and great memories are hard to beat.
I am proud of this nice 12 point with a split brow tine. I was using my youngest sons Ruger M77 MarkII 243, shooting barnes tsx 85's and got great performance.
Yesterday morning brought this rut crazed buck. Biggest 7 point I have even seen. Had he left that doe alone, he probably would have been alright.
Stephen got back in the action yesterday evening, with this pretty 8 point, his second of the season. Ever since he assumed ownership of my 25-06 he has been out of control.
I put my best skinnin crew on the job and we had him quartered and iced in no time.
My daughter is still lookin for her first, and we had no luck this morning. But, lots of season left. My youngest son has taken a young buck, doe and his first bobcat, but he never seems to get in the picture.
Anyway, we're havin a great season and look forward to more memories to come.
