Up for sale is a 1976 pre lock Marlin 444S in Excellent condition, with nicely figured wood stock. I traded into this Marlin just about a year ago. After picking up a 1968 Marlin 336 in 35Rem, I thought I just had to have a pre lock Marlin in 444, so placed a WTT ad on this site and worked out a deal with a good member here. This is a beautiful rifle, but with the limited hunting I do now, I know I will never hunt this. It needs to go to a good home where it will get used as intended. I have the original 55 factory rounds of Hornady superformance 265 grain FP ammo that came with the rifle. I also have 1 box of 100 Hornady 44 cal, 265 grain FP bullets, and a set of RCBS dies I picked up with the intention of reloading, but never did. Buyer of rifle will have the first opportunity to buy the ammo and components. Only Trade interest would be a Kimber mountain ascent or Kimber Montana preferably in 30-06, or something very similar. If I forgot something, let me know, thanks for looking.
